    Caring for Others

Caring for Others

Pramukh Swami Maharaj was a very busy person. But he always lent his ears to hear people’s concerns. He took genuine interest in understanding their problems and provided them his honest opinion and guidance.

Caring for others is a unique characteristic that our gurus have displayed throughout their lives. Now, it is our turn to learn from them to live like them. How do you think we can we show our care for others?

Personally, I always wish that in any contest I win. But though when I see someone smile , I feel like I've won , just that I have more happines . Remember, "In the Joy of Others lies own." - PSM

Jay Swaminarayan, Once in a pravachan a sant was talking about Bapa's famous quote, "In the joy of other's lies our own." He said it doesn't just mean our friends and family it means even a random stranger who needs help, we need to look at the joy of everyone on this earth. I think it's important to make sure no-one is fooling you or misguiding you, that's why we should always remember: "Every action one question is Swami Raji?" If we give someone the happiness that they yearn and deserve then our happiness will come to us automatically. Even if we just let a friend or classmate borrow a pen or pencil if they have forgotten, Bapa will be raji. Maybe one day that friend will remember how you saved him/her from detention by giving them a pen to borrow, they will or someone else will always return to us with a kind gesture if we give them a hand. Just talking to them can make a difference. Words can take two forms, (vish) poison or (amrut) nectar. If we talk to them rudely that is what we will receive in return. Basically "Treat other's how you want to be treated." Furthermore through our amrut filled vani (speech) we should teach other's about Bapa's lessons and mottos, only then will we have truly gained Maharaj and Swami's Rajipo and returned a small part of his favour and krupa he has showered on us.

I can take care of my family and friends by... - looking after them - respecting them - helping them when they are in need I always protect my sister whenever she is in trouble or needs my help. I respect and help my parents and family members. I am always willing to do seva for thakorji at mandir and i like to do vacccuming seva in our balika sabha room with my friends. I always want to show Pramukh swami maharaj my care about my friends, family, siblings and the mandir. I take care of bhagwan in my house by... - cleaning the ghar mandir - offereing thal and doing aarti - i sing the chesta and put maharaj to sleep at bedtime This is how i take care of everyone Jai Swaminarayan

We should care for others. If we want to care for them then, we have to be caring towards them and look at the four steps to R U OK DAY!!! or ALE. A = Ask them how they are feeling L = Listen to what situation they are in E = Encourage Action. These steps can help you to know how a person is feeling and what to do to them if they need some help. Not only that, but Pramukh Swami Maharaj cared for so many in his life and made sure that everyone was being treated fairly. For example, when Bill Clinton came to see Bapa, first saw some poorer people and went to them and treated them with the same respect as he treated the president of the U.S. Another example could be that, when Swami was in a city there was a young boy by the name of Shambu, and this little boy was poor but was a pure satsangi and he asked swami "Swami, Tame Mara Ghere Avone" Swami couldn't say no to a little boy like him so at around 10pm when Swami finished all of his Padhramani's he went to do one more at Shambu's house. In this prasang you can see how caring Swami was towards so many people around the world.

I think how we can care for others is by making sure if they are alright if they get hurt or if they are lonely we can ask them to come join us, we can also listen to people about their sayings and help them find a solution after hearing peoples saying.

Jai Swaminarayan There are many ways in which we can show care for others. This includes accepting people the way they are. Yogi Bapa always used "annukul thavu". Another way we can show care for others is to be a good listener. Many times the opponent is saying something but your attention is on another thing. We can help stop prevent this by being a good listener. Jai Swaminarayan

Jay Swaminarayan everyone, Being caring is a very good quality to have in everyone. Caring means to be nice and kind to each other. You can be be caring in little talks or in big events. Even if you are busy you can still be caring towards others, just like bapa. Caring is the best quality to have! Jay Swaminarayan

I think to show how to care for someone we should not have bullying and fighting. Also if you see bullying or fighting stop them from fighting meaning that be an upstander not a bystander. This will bring peace and a harmony in the world as well as everyone being happy
