Those to Whom We Owe the Most
There are many things we accomplish that make us feel proud. This could include learning to ride a bike, winning a sports trophy, or coming first in a school competition. Think back to a particular moment that made you proud. What was that moment?
Now think of the people who helped you get there. Who are they? And how did they help you achieve your goal? |

Jai Swaminarayan! A moment that made me proud was when I achieved my goal of getting a better math grade in school. The people who helped me achieve this were my math teacher and my parents — most of all, Bapa. He helped me work harder and better to be able to achieve this goal. He also guided me mentally to achieve it.

My mom helped me complete my Adhiveshan goal by helping me practice every day. That practice really helped me during Adhiveshan, and because of that, my mom helped me achieve my goal.

One of the proudest moments in my life was winning the school science fair with a project I designed on renewable energy. I built a working model of a wind turbine using recycled materials to show how wind power can be harnessed to generate electricity. I spent weeks researching how turbines work, testing different blade shapes, and measuring the energy output. It was challenging but exciting to see my idea come to life. I couldn’t have done it alone — my science teacher helped me refine my design and understand the physics behind it, my parents supported me with materials and motivation, and my friends encouraged me throughout the process. Their support gave me the confidence to present my project clearly and proudly. Winning the science fair wasn’t just about the prize — it was about the teamwork, learning, and determination that made it possible.

One goal I achieved is finishing 315 shlokas for Bapa. The people that helped me are my parents, my friend at mandir, my sanchalika, and Bapa. They all helped me by encouraging me. Bapa made sure I passed to get his rajipo.

One of the proudest moments in my life was when I memorized all 315 shloks in Sanskrit for the Adhiveshan and Swami Bapa’s Mission Rajipo Challenge. It took me months of daily practice, but when I finally completed it, I felt very happy inside. I realized that I was only able to do it because of the blessings and guidance of Maharaj, Swami, and my parents. The people who helped me the most were my parents and my sabha sanchalikas — Bhakti Didi, Himali Didi, and Nishma Masi. My mother encouraged me every day to recite with focus and do it for Maharaj and Swami. She guided me with correct pronunciation and also explained the meaning of each shlok. Even when I was tired, remembering Swami Bapa’s constant smile and words gave me new energy. When I finally finished, I felt true joy that I could please Maharaj and Swami through this. I could earn his rajipo. So, those to whom I owe the most are Bhagwan Swaminarayan, my Guru Mahant Swami Maharaj, and my loving parents who always guide me towards bhakti and seva.

When I did not play football well in my society and classes, everyone made fun of me, but then my friend Vevaan came and started training me. The next month, I had a tournament in my classes. I tried my best for Vevaan and won the match, being the man of the match and getting a gold medal.

One moment that made me proud was when I won the spelling bee at my school. I was very excited, and I won some prizes too! I studied hard, but I can’t take all the credit. Firstly, Maharaj and Swami helped me by being there for me so I wasn’t scared. Secondly, my parents helped me study. Without them, I don’t know how I would have memorized all the words! Lastly, my school community helped me by encouraging me along the way, which is why I never gave up. These people helped me a lot with winning my spelling bee!

The moment that made me feel proud was when I completed Satsang Diksha mukhpath. I was the first one this year to complete it. I started it due to fear but later I took it as a challenge to complete it, and I did it.

I felt proud when I learnt all my 315 Satsang Diksha shloks. It wasn’t easy, but with the help of my karyakars and family I was able to do it with their support and help. Not only them, but Bapa also encouraged me a lot through his ashirvad and letters that he wrote for all bal-balikas.

At first, I wasn’t very confident and sometimes made mistakes during practice. But I didn’t give up. I practiced every evening and worked hard to improve my game. When the coach finally announced my name on the team list, I felt so happy and proud of myself. It showed me that hard work really pays off. The people who helped me were my coach, my friends, and my parents. My coach always guided me and helped me improve my skills. My friends practiced with me and encouraged me to keep trying. My parents supported me, came to my matches, and told me to never lose hope. Because of their help and my own effort, I was able to achieve something special that I’ll always remember.

I felt like Swami Bapa helped me to memorize the Satsang Diksha shloks. This was because whenever I did it in front of Maharaj and Swami, I would always remember the shlok straight away. So, when I did my exam, I felt like Swami was there in my heart, so I passed on the first attempt. Thank you, Bapa, for your rajipo on me. Jai Swaminarayan.
