    The Parrot and his brother

The Parrot and his brother

Listen to the story of 'The Parrot and his brother'. Then write the moral of the story in 4-6 sentences.

the moral is that people dont develop personalities from blood but from the company they keep. consider the indian culture and the western culture. Parents of the indian culture keep their children away from bad company and violent tv and games and that is why our children are bright in the education system. on the other hand western children are exposed to drugs and bad company, leaving their lives ruined and their families broken.

One parrot had stayed with a hunter almost all his life. He always heard bad things like grab it... hit it.... cut it and other things. The other parrot had lived in a nice peaceful enviroment in the ashram. He always heard kind things that the sadhu said to his guests. So the moral of the story is that whatever kind of place you live in that has a big impact on the way you think, the way you talk and the way you act.

Jay Swaminarayan. If we go to mandir we get good morals while if go to bad places we may loose our sanskars. We have a guru who guides us to the right path but if we had a bad company we would do all wrongs in life and because of that we would not be good and succeed in future.'Jevo sang evo rang.'

the moral of this story is that it depends where the person was living. it doesn't depend on where the person is from. if you live with someone bad, then you learn from them. if you lived with someone good, then you learn good things. so we should have good company and not bad company to be a good balak and make bapa happy! Maharaj has quoted a verse from the vedas saying that even though two people may look the same, their mental inclinations will be different. In the vachanamrut, it is said that the 8 factors of influence are place(desh), time(kala), action(kriya), company(sang), mantra, scriptures(shastra), initiation(diksha) and meditation(dhyan) No two people will have the same personality/character/svabhaws.

Jay swaminarayan, the moral i learned from the video is that it`s not the birthplace that tells there personality ,but the environment that the person lives in is more important.I also learned that you should stay with good people to learn good things, because if you stay with good people then you could become good, and if you stay with bad company people you could also start to turn bad. This way i will always stay in satsang.I would pick the good side. What about you?

the moral of this story is that if you stay with good people then good values will come to you. And that you should always develop good values. Good values can come from anyone, including a stranger. If someone tries to give you good values than do not be mean to them. Take and give good values.

Jai swaminarayan. As said in the story, that it is not the birth place which matters but the environment in which you grow up. Actually, in practical, a man is known by the company that he is surrounded in.We must decide our best company and choose to develop good characters. We must become ideal and make Swami Bapa happy so that he happily opens the doors of Akshardham-Our ultimate destination. Thankyou. Jai Swaminarayan.

i think that the moral of this story is to stay near a good environment so that we can avoid getting influenced by the bad environment. just like these two parrots, depending on who and what was around them and surrounding them, they said different things. one said something good and one said something bad. just like the humble parrot, we should stay near a good environment and say good things about everything and never think negative. therefore, this is the moral of the story.

This story teaches about the environment that affects our daily life. In short, if you are around a kusangi, then you become evil- minded. And if you are around a satsangi, and the sadguru santos, then you become spiritually enlightened. Jai swaminarayan!

In this story it tells us that actions can be impacted by our environment and company . If we hang around with bad company then you would start to make bad thoughts just as your friends however, if you were with good company you would do good deeds and anyone can be affected by the environment.

The moral of this story is that your good and bad values do not come from where you are born. They come from your environment. For example, if you are friends with theives and you talk to them everyday, you will become like them one day because by listening to their talks you will start to act like them.

This story may be a short story, but it holds a great moral to it. It does not matter who you are at birth, but it matters who you want yourself to become. We all know the story of Ramayan. Vibhishan and Ravan were brothers and both Brahmin at birth. However, Vibhishan was greatly influenced by his father, who was a faithful and religious man,and Ravan was influenced greatly by his mother who was not very religious, and didn't always make great choices. Despite both of them being brothers and from the same family, Ravan turned out to be someone the world doesn't quite look up to, and Vibhishan is praised for his actions by helping Ram Bhagwan. And at the end, as we all know, Ravan met his death due to bad actions and Vibhishan lived on because he was on dharma's side. Similarly, in the story, the first parrot is abandoned by the business man because of his cacophony. However, the second parrot lured the businessman into the ashram because of its euphonic speech. Similarly, the world appreciates kind and respectful people, not people who speak bitterly and say disrespectful things. We should not let bad influence overtake our ability and spirit to do good things. It is our choice as citizens of the world, who we would like to become.

One becomes as the company he keeps. One's feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are influenced by one's surroundings. If one keeps bad company, he becomes ill mannered and disrespectful. If one keeps good company, one becomes happy and enlightened.

The moral of the story is that a persons behavior depends on what environment it lives in. Like the humble parrot we should always be surrounded in a good environment and not like the evil parrot who was living in a bad environment.

The moral of this story is that we should be like the good parrot, which learned good things. But if we keep the company of kusangi people, we won't be able to learn the good things. As you can tell by the story, your environment and company influence you a lot.
