A giant children’s convention was organized in Surat on January 20, 2007 as part of the BAPS centenary celebration. The convention kicked off with a colourful procession through the main thoroughfares of the town. The main objective of the convention is to strengthen Satsang among young boys and girls and also give a fillip to the Yogyagna inspired by Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Sadguru Doctor Swami blessed the participants.

The convention organized by the joint efforts of sadhus in charge of Bal Mandals, youth activists of the Sanstha and children themselves was a great success despite the short notice at which it was held.

Elocution contests, dialogues, discussions, video shows, dances, etc. were some of the highlights of the convention.

At the concluding function Doctor Swami presented a torch. 6,535 boys and girls attended the convention.
