Braving the sweltering heat of the summer the children of The Bal Balika Madal in Surat took part in a Cycle Procession during the vacation for a noble cause. The procession was aimed at spreading knowledge about environment among the people. The Environmental Awareness Cycle Rally was also clubbed with Mandir Darshan Cycle Rally.

As the route for the rally stretched through the city more ground could be covered and the message was spread much more effectively. More than 2500 children participated in the event. The event was extensively covered by some of the leading Gujarati and English newspapers such as Sandesh, Divyabhaskar, Times of India etc. Many news channels were also present to cover the event. All the cycles were adorned by flags of BAPS and boards that pronounced the importance of environmental protection. There were 16 tricycles out of which 8 of them were equipped with microphone sets. These were used to play the messages on environmental awareness. Not only the participants but even the general people of the city learnt a lot because of this extraordinary event. Congratulations to the children of BAPS Bal Mandal Surat for having achieved such a monumental task.
