To mark Gandhi Jayanti a cycle rally was organised by Junagadh BAPS Bal Mandal, Timbavadi on October 2, 2008.  The aim of the rally was to promote dharma, truth and peace which were so dear to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Swaminarayan parampara. The day was also observed to free people of addictions and to promote  a Vegetarian diet.
The rally started from Akshar Mandir at 9 o’clock in the morning and reached the Gandhi statue at 9.20. There the volunteers and also the police personnel garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Thereafter the rally passed through  Chitakhana, Kalvachawk, etc. The impact of the rally was lauded by one and all.
