During the summer vacation in April and May 2011, approximately 16,345 children throughout Gujarat, Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur participated in the Children’s Development Seminars.
In six 3-hour sessions, featuring an entertaining mix of speeches, workshops, games, audio-visual presentations and discussions, the children were taught about the main pillars of India’s ancient culture and spiritual heritage: shastras, mandirs and sadhus.
Around 80 sadhus and 5,000 volunteers helped to organize and conduct the seminars.
