28 June 2011

“The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been”

BAPS, RAISAN celebrated its 6th ‘Foundation ‘on 28th June 11. This year seemed to be more enthusiastic and memorable because we had the 1st batch of 11th std students who came out with flying colours in their 10th Board Examination.

The program began with a prayer and the main aim of the program was the ‘Oath taking ceremony of students Council of BAPS SVM’. The student elected the President of student’s council – Aditya Mori who was made to take oath by Mrs. Monalisa Das, The principal of BAPS SVM. Honor of Head Boy of the school was given to Malav Patel. House Captains were also appointed for four houses of the school - Rig Veda, Sam Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharwa Veda. The class wise leaders were also selected i.e. from class Nursery to Xl. Along with this Co–curricular Heads were also selected and they were all made to take oath by the President of Students council Aditya Mori wherein they all promised to abide by the rules and moral values of the school and make every efforts that will lead to the progress of the school.

Pujya Muniprakash Swami and Pujya Atmavijay Swami’s presence added to the holiness of the program. They gave their auspicious blessings to the student’s council of the school. They honoured the students and motivated them by giving a rose flower and a batch of leadership.

The day became more memorable as four old students (Jignashu Shah, Parth Modi, Bhagwat Sardhara, Langalia Pulakit) shared their past experience of the 1st Foundation Day. On this very auspicious day, Pujya Muniprakash Swami highlighted the qualities of a good leader and encouraged the students to go ahead in life. He emphasized on self confidence, hard work and concentration. In his motivating speech he encouraged each student of the school  to be a good human being and  not only become Doctor or Engineer.

All the Administrators, Principal Madam, and all the Educators along with students put in all their efforts to make the program a great success. The programme ended with echoing words of spiritual Aarti of Bhagwan Swaminarayana and blessing of Pujya Saints present there.
It is truly said:

“A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.”
