BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamanidr Raisan Celebrated HDH Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 92nd birthday on 19th December,2012.According to the Hindu Calendar his birthday falls on Magshar Sud Atham i.e. on 20th December,2012.

A Guru plays a very important and key role in ones life. Our Guru HDH Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, lovingly called Swami Bapa, is our friend, philosopher and guide; and also our motivator and inspirer. He motivates all young and old alike. He is an epitome of virtues from whom, all draw inspiration to lead a virtuous life. His humility adds more charm to his “larger than life image.” His illustrious life is a perennial source of truth, honesty and trustworthiness. He has motivated and generated the power of youth in doing the multifarious tasks of social work.

The celebrations of his 92nd birthday began with a ‘Dhun’ and a prayer followed by a dance number by primary school students.

A skit was enacted by primary and secondary school students which highlighted the justification of being a vegetarian in life.

Senior students informed the young boys about Pujya Swami Bapa’s life and works for which he has renounced the worldly life. They also shared the details of Pujya Swami Bapa’s inclusion in the “Guiness Book Of World Records” Regarding the building of more than 1000 temples in India and abroad.

To Show their gratitude the secondary school students sang bhajans in praise of Pujya Swami Bapa.

The celebrations were concluded by singing Aarti to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and offering ‘Prasad’ to every one.
