Inspired by H.D.H Pramukh Swami Maharaj all Bal-Balika Mandals organized a regional Sports Day in January under the auspicies of Bal–Pravrutti Central Office. More than 30000 children participated with great enthusiasm exhibiting their talent and sportsman spirit.
For the children of Standard 1st to 8th, the Sports Day consisted of Musical Chairs, Hop Race, Lemon and Spoon Race, Balloon Bursting, 100 metres Race, Coin Search, Sack Race, Slow Cycling, Cricket, etc.
The day started with prayers. The sadhus visited there to motivate the children. 'Playing games increases our mental level, develops our body and hidden potential, also courage, truthfulness and sportsman spirit.'
All the junior and senior volunteers spared no effort to please Swamibapa.
At the end of the Sports Day, those who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each event were awarded accordingly. After the award distribution many regions had Dabra Utsav in which the children and volunteers sat together and offered to Thakorji, the items they had brought with them and had prasad together after reciting the Shlok. In this way the Sports Day and Dabra Utsav was celebrated very peacefully.
