2012 has also been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All. The World Environment Day this year was celebrated on the 5th June 2012 and it complemented the global concern with the official tagline – Green Economy: Does it include you? To commemorate this day they held an Essay Competition for children based in various age categories based on the above tagline. In this Essay Competition, a balak from Nairobi Bal Mandal, Jay Satishbhai Patel (8 years old) took part and won the first prize in the Lower Category. We congratulate Jay for attaining the first prize.
