At one stage, History had witnessed an unparalleled journey of a young boy named Nilkanth, with 7 years covering 14 000 kilometers, barefoot. This journey was matchless because of its unique nature – it was a journey of liberating innumerable souls.

With this perspective in mind, on the 11th of September 2005, BAPS Bal Mandal Sydney presented a Bal Parayan with a theme of “Nilkanth Kalyaan Yatra”. This occasion was special this year for Sydney Satsang Mandal as 40 enthusiastic balaks were involved in portraying a unique message.

The Balaks were able to kindle countless hearts by presenting a delightful program from start to finish. The program commenced with the traditional Dhoon and Prarthana and ended with a beautifully choreographed dance welcoming Nilkanth Varni. Parayan, Skits, video presentations and a Shishu Quiz also played an important role in sending the message across of “Nilkanth Kalyaan Yatra”.

The theme was supported by remarkable decorations. One side of the hall featured a beautiful Murti of Shri Nilkanth Varni with an amazing back drop of mountains. On the other side of the hall, hundreds of devotees saw a series of footprints tracking them through the images of major destinations that Nilknath Varni had sanctified throughout his matchless pilgrimage.

Through the inspiration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj all 40 Balaks, were able to send a powerful message of Nilkanth Varni - his journey of liberation, and his journey into the hearts of over 350 people that attended this unique event.
