On Sunday 28th May 2006, Sydney Balika Mandal held a Fun Day, an outing to Sydney’s famous theme park, Luna Park.

The intention of this outing was for the balikas to get to know each other better and mix with the shishus as well and of course- to have fun!

The day commenced with a ride on a ferry from Parramatta Wharf at 9am to Circular Quay. The shishus and balikas were well credited for waking up early in the morning to participate in this day of fun. After reaching Circular Quay there was still a while before getting on another ferry, so the balikas and shishus filled up that time by playing games such as ‘Red light’ and ‘Crocodile Crocodile’. Then, boarding another ferry, the balikas and shishus finally reached Luna Park.

It was a fun planned day which spoilt everyone with rides such as ‘Spider’, ‘Flying Saucer’, ‘Rotor’, ‘Tango Train’ and many more. Another sponsored event only meant more fun for everyone as they endured giant slides, running through rotating barrels and running across moving floors in Coney Island (Part of Luna Park).

Balikas and shishus all filled up their tummies with yummy food. Lunch and snacks were provided for the balikas and shishus with burgers, cup cakes, chips, lollies and much more.

By 3pm everyone was exhausted after having too much FUN and it was time to board a train and get back to the Mandir.
