More than 250 boys and girls aged 7 to 13 attended bal - balika shibir in the presence of sadhus during the recent sant vichran in the Asia Pacific Region from July to August,2008. The shibirs, held in Sydney,Perth, Auckland and Adelaide, were unique in that the sadhus and karyakars spent a full day in teaching values, heritage and culture through inspiring video clips, skits, games, stories, and an interactive question- answer session. Moreover, the children themselves learnt the intrinsic values of satsang through discussions and were encouraged to study hard at school as well as respect parents. All in all it was a shibr filled with fun, games, and learning that enhanced the lives of kids for the better.
