A nice Diwali celebration was held for boys and girls at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Auckland,  New Zealand during this year's Diwali festival.
More than 102 children came early to the mandir on Sunday 2nd  November 2008 eagerly looking forward to a fun - packed event that was well-planned by bal karyakars.
the celebration began with traditional Dhun and Prarthna  followed by some funny videos that had kids rolling their stomaches with laughter.
The final video was a wonderful smruti video of Swamibapa giving darshan and blessings to children.
Pujya  Adarshmuni swami then spoke about the importance of festivals and the relevance of Diwali in today's modern age.
The next item was a funny magic show by a professional magician who performed an array of simple tricks that held the kids in suspense.
The final part of the celebration turned into a games session where balaks and balikas enjoyed a string of games in their own separate groups.
The whole event was not only fun-filled but an inspiration for the young hearts who learnt about the significance of Hindu Festivals.
