    Bal-Balika Mandal Outing
May 2010, Melbourne, Australia

Each year Bal-Balika Mandal in Melbourne is taken out for a full day of Outing where they get to see different places and have a lot fun with their Satsangi friends. This year they were divided into two groups. While Bal Mandal enjoyed the thrills of IMAX theatre and Melbourne Museum, Shishu Mandal were taken out to an exciting tour of Melbourne Aquarium.

Bal-Balika Mandal saw a 3 dimensional movie Under the Sea where they were treated to some astonishing 3D effects, which brought them up, close and personal with some of the most extraordinary marine life, including Stonefish - the world's most venomous fish, a new species of Sharks, South Australia's exquisite Leafy Sea Dragon, the endangered puppy-like Sea Lion, etc.

In Melbourne Museum where they experienced the serenity of a rainforest, went through a breath taking Animal exhibit, and learnt about the history of Melbourne. But the exhibit that had everyone spellbound was the ‘Dinosaur Walk’ which with its amazing range of skeletons combined with interesting facts, brought dinosaurs and other ancient animals to life.

Shishus were treated to a fun filled trip to the Melbourne Aquarium where they were happy at the sight of sliding, walking and swimming Penguins. They were amazed at the sight of sharks swimming above their heads in the 360 degree tanks. But what everyone enjoyed the most was the feeding session, where the divers jumped into the tanks and fed huge stingrays.

A Dabra Utsav was held in both the outings and everyone shared their lunches. Not only did all bal-balikas immensely enjoy this day, but also their parents were satisfied that through this fun filled educational outing their kids learnt the values of samp, suhradbhav and ekta.
