On Saturday, 24 July 2010, 34 boys and girls aged between 7 and 14 years enthusiastically participated in the one-day Bal-Balika Shibir in Melbourne, Australia. The shibir was themed ‘Hinduism: Discover and Live’.
Through inspirational speeches, video presentations, group discussions, breakout sessions and interactive games the children learnt about a variety of topics: Rites and Rituals, Dharma, Karmavaad and Punarjanma.
Thus, the shibir informed the children about some of the key aspects of Hinduism and strengthened their resolve to lead a pure and pious life based on Hindu values.
