On Sunday, 16 September 2012, a two hour Bal Parayan cultural program was held at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Auckland, NZ. It was based on the theme of Swamini Vato entailing messages such as persistence, determination, focus and faith. The parayan was held in the presence of Pujya Adarshmuni Swami and Pujya Jnanpurush Swami.
About 40 shishus and balaks aged between 3 and 14 years enacted several dramas such as “Kalyan no Khaap” and “Kitchudu Buta” which were entertaining but reveal the essence of the scriptures in a palatable manner. Several shishus and balaks presented mukhpath from the Swamini Vato. The balaks also performed a traditional folk dance in honor of Gunatitanand Swami.
The Bal Parayan was well attended and everyone felt inspired by the presentations. They lauded the children’s activities of BAPS and sang praises for their inspirer Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
