Brisbane Bal Mandal did their first Bal Parayan programme on Sunday, 16 September, 2012.

The sabha started with dhun and prarthana from shishus and balaks followed by a kirtan. The balaks then sang shanti path whilst the pujan vidhi was completed. The Bal Parayan was based on the life of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. It started with the video animation of Ghanshyam Charitra - The Storm of Evil (Birth of Ghanshyam Prabhu), followed by Nilkanth Charitra with a video clip from Mystic India. The concluding part was Sahajanand Charitra with a video clip from Bhagwan Swaminarayan. In between the video shows, balaks confidently presented speeches and highlighted stories of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

The Bal Parayan was followed by a 30 minute - session on 'Parent Awareness' highlighting the activities of Bal Sabha, emphasising the necessity of daily puja, arti, thal, chesta and 'Ghar Sabha'. Everyone felt inspired by the programme and vowed to instill and maintain sanskars and imbibing Swamishri’s message on family values.
