On Sunday, 7 October 2012, the children of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Melbourne, Australia presented a Bal Parayan themed “BAPS Bal Charitam”.

The programme began withshishus and balaks performing jaynad, dhun and prarthana.The main speaker then took the audience on an eloquent journey through the childhoods of BAPS Guru Parampara, narrating motivating episodes and highlighting their morals. The speech was interspersed with skits and dances, on Dungar Bhagat’s fearless attitude in “Ek Rat Re”, Jina Bhagat’s honesty in “Sachu Nitya Bolta” and Shantilal’s obedience in “Faraj Nibhavata”. TheShishu Mandalthen performed an entertaining dance. A nice skit entitled “Lindiyo” gave an insight into how BAPS kids are nurtured to be the leaders of tomorrow. In conclusion, an energetic dance was performed by the balaks,“Mara Swami Ni Thaye Waah Waah.”

Jnanpurush Swami gave a speech on the importance of bal sanskar and the Mandir’s role in nurturing todays children.Everyone appreciated the devotion of young kids in presenting such a meticulously planned programme and truly felt inspired by the messages.
