Diwali is one of the most enjoyable occasions in the year for Hindus all over the world. It is a time for family gatherings and celebration of New Year.
The BAPS Adelaide Centre hosted Children’s Diwali Celebration at Klemzig Primary School on 2nd November 2013, which was fun as well as educational. The children learned the history and origin of this festival, played a variety of exciting games, and were given an assortment of gifts and goodies. The celebration also helped Balaks and Balikas practice the rites and rituals of Diwali. Around 50 balaks and 78 balika’s left this year’s Diwali celebrations with a better understanding and appreciation of Diwali and its traditions.
