Loughborough Queen’s Park

This was the second year in which our sanstha was represented at “Picnic in the Park”, but the first time that the Bal-Balikas took such an active part in this local community event. Balaks had the opportunity to performed an informative speech on BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and its’ activities, bhajans and delivered a classical instrumental piece enlightening the audience on the Indian Hindu culture. Balikas had created a mini exhibition in our stall presenting the beliefs of Hinduism and BAPS as well as doing ‘mendi’ (henna) for the public. They also performed a dance. Positive feedback for the whole day was received from the public as well as the Mayor on the bal and balikas talents & abilities.
