On 22nd April 2006, over 150 devotees celebrated the 22nd Patotsav of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Preston, UK and Swaminarayan Jayanti / Ram Navmi Celebrations.
The celebration took place in the presence of Pujya Aksharvihar Swami and Pujya Mangaltirth Swami.
For the event, a special annakut consisting of various dishes of savouries, sweets and fruit was also placed before the murtis in which the Bal-Balikas had also prepared several items.
In the evening programme, devotees participated in the Vedic Mahapuja Ceremony. Thereafter a special programme on the theme ‘Swaminarayan Yashgatha’ was conducted by the Mandal. Balaks participated in the program by bringing Thakorji into the hall on a specially decorated palkhi.
The evening ended with mahaprasad for everyone and also various savories and fruits from the annakut. Despite being a very small Mandal, the Preston Bal-Balika Mandal got together and helped this grand utsav to be a success.
