On Saturday 22nd July, the parents of the Bal / Balika Mandal in Birmingham took part in the annual Parents Day. A brilliant presentation highlighting the activities of the Bal-Balika Mandal and Gujarati School allowed the parents a chance to reflect upon the busy year that has just passed. Pujya Anandmuni Swami then stressed the importance of attending the Bal-Balika Mandal, and also the benefits that are gained if parents take an active role in their child’s life.

Then, Pujya Anandmuni Swami and Pujya Yagnatilak Swami presented the balaks with prizes and awards for various achievements throughout the year.

Finally, the parents were given the opportunity to meet one-to-one with the respective Bal-Balika sanchalaks and also the Gujarati teachers, and were given special reports emphasizing the progress made by each individual balak or Balika over the past year. Overall, it was a very constructive and successful day for all those that attended, and allowed all of the parents to have their queries answered and to learn more about Birmingham Bal-Balika Mandal.
