The UK Bal Mandal Up Country Mandir Yatra took place on Saturday 17th March 2007. More than 80 balaks, 14 Karyakars along with P. Manoharmurti Swami and P. Yagnatilak Swami departed London Mandir early in the morning.

During the short coach journey to Luton balaks were shown video and given a talk on the history of BAPS.

After a long 2 hour journey the two coaches arrived at Loughborough Mandir. The boys were told some amazing facts: Yogiji Maharaj had visited Loughborough in 1970 and planted the seeds of the Loughborough satsang.

The balaks were then given a tour of the Mandir which was followed by refreshments.

The next stop on the Yatra was Leicester. After doing darshan of the Murtis and the many prasadi items that are in the Mandir, the boys were given a delicious lunch. They were then given a brief history of the Mandir which was followed by a speech from Umeshbhai Raja on the importance of Samp, Suradhbhav and Ekta between the mandals in the UK. The group was then informed of the plans to build a brand new Mandir in Leicester.

The final stop on the Yatra was Birmingham. On arrival the group had darshan of the murtis and were then given the plan for the evening, for the next 2 hours the boys played football, dodge ball, table tennis and pool in the huge complex. The boys really enjoyed this as did the Karyakars! At 7pm the group made they way back to the Mandir for aarti.

The boys were then taken to another part of the massive Mandir complex for dinner. The group departed at 8pm.Everyone arrived safely back at London at 10pm. All the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the trip. All were happy to do darshan at our different mandirs and meet other Balaks from the other centres.

90 Balikas also went on a similar Yatra the week before and thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.

The UK Bal Mandal hope to hold the Mandir Yatras annually.
