The BAPS Swaminarayan Sunday School, London went on a trip to Willows Farm village in Hertfordshire. 97 balikas and 107 balaks between the ages of 5 and 9 attended on the trip.

The bal-balikas particularly enjoyed the coach ride as it was a novelty for them travelling by coach. During the journey the balikas all sang Aarti,Bhajans and nursery rhymes!

Upon reaching Willows Farm, the group was welcomed by the Willows Farm representatives who gave a wonderful introduction to the farm and its activities. Thereafter, the bal-balikas’ together with their respective group leaderwent to explore the massive campus. There was a fun packed programme of farmyard animals, adventure play, fun fair rides, children’s animated shows, tractor rides and indoor adventure soft play.

The fun fair ride and the indoor play barn were of particular interest for the younger bal-balikas, where they had a fun filled time! The older bal-balikas enjoyed the vertical drop slide and this was also enjoyed by our bolder karyakars! All the bal-balikas were thrilled with the tractor ride through the woods and water puddles! The animated chicken show captured the attention of all; afterwhich they all took part in a group photo. The play area was another exciting adventure for the bal-balikas where they also dared to play on the zip wire!

Lunch was served using a rota system where they all had a sit down lunch packed with sandwiches, drinks and snacks!

The coach journey home was full of excitement as the children told each other about their experiences at the farm.

The Willows Farm trip was a successful event which offered a wonderful day out and an opportunity to make new friends, bridge the gap between Karyakars and the children and above all, creating memories to treasure for a lifetime!
