On Sunday 15th June, the karyakars in Antwerp held a special awards sabha to reward children who had performed exceedingly well in their Gujarati exams.

Following the jaynaad, dhun and prarthana, a special skit on the importance of Ekadashi was performed by the older children. The creative and entertaining skit was written by one of Antwerp’s own karyakars.

Then, a short awards ceremony in which the first, second and third placed children in Gujarati all got a trophy for outstanding results. Trophies were sponsored by a generous parent. The rest of the children were also given beautifully designed certificates for doing well.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and were extremely happy to be rewarded for their achievements.
