It
is often said that the shape of the future depends on the children of
today, and to mold a bright future, we have to instill values in our
children. The necessity of these values was explored in "Saanskrutik
Viraasat," a grand cultural program presented by the Balaks of
the West Region.
The
program was a musical drama that relayed the stories of three child
devotees of India whose virtuous characters serve as great examples
for children of today. Balaks first presented the story of Shravan,
who tirelessly served his blind and ailing parents until the day he
died. Balaks then conveyed the importance of perseverance through the
story of Dhruv. Finally, the story of Nachiketa exemplified the importance
of bravery and zeal for salvation.
All
those who witnessed this program at the Anaheim Convention Center were
impressed by the hard work and effort demonstrated in the magnificent
performance. In his blessings to the assembly, Swamishri commended the
children's presentation, and urged parents to instill such values in
their children, which can only be done by creating a bond of love.
