Although this was the
very first BST in New York, the karyakars in New York are proud to announce
that it was exceptional. The balaks, along with the karyakars, enjoyed
every part of it (from classes to games). The national package was their
foundation: classes, workshops, teambuilding activities, etc. However,
they also took it a step further, by teaching them how to eat properly
and the basics of dining etiquette. From ingredients to preparation,
the balaks learned how to cook Swaminarayan Kichdi. The balaks also
learned how to do darshan of the murtis properly. There wasn’t
a moment that went by without them learning. To carry the example further,
while waiting for the food to be made/served, karyakars and balaks played
“the prasang game” to further strengthen their satsang knowledge.
At the end of New York’s first BST, the
balaks not only learned the basics of satsang and Hinduism, but they
also learned the basics of how to become a well-rounded individual.
They understood the true meaning of adarsh! |
