(6) What is dandvat?

Answer: Just as people bow before a king, ‘dandvat’ is a prostration to God. It is a symbol of our complete surrenderance to God. When performing a ‘dandvat’ the following parts of the body should touch the floor and be focused on God to symbolize our submission to Him : forehead, nose, chest, hands, legs, mind, vision (eyes) and speech (mouth). While performing ‘dandvat’ the name of God is chanted.
 
(7) What is Pradakshina?
Answer: ‘Pradakshina’ is circumambulation (walking) clockwise arround a shrine or murti of God. It is performed to symbolize, that God is the center-point of our life. It also represents the performance of a pilgrimage arround the 68 holy places of pilgrimage. While peforming the ‘pradakshina’ one should turn the rosary and chant the name of God.
