Devotion to Thakorji

“Bapa! Visit my house...”

“Bapa! Please don’t forget my house...”

The devotees of Bamangam were personally inviting Swamishri to visit their homes.
Swamishri started his round of home-visits in the scorching afternoon sun. He gave up his afternoon rest to walk the rough, uneven roads of Bamangam during the home-visits. Swamishri untiringly visited the devotees’ homes to bless them and infuse joy in their routine, mundane lives.

By the time Swamishri reached the home where he was lodging, his throat was dry with thirst. Since the evening arti was being performed by sadhus, Swamishri joined in. He became so absorbed in prayer that he forgot about his thirst. After the arti rituals concluded, Swamishri bowed to all.

Then the attendant sadhu suddenly remembered that Swamishri was thirsty, and ran to get a glass of water. When he offered the water, Swamishri enquired, “Have you offered it to Thakorji?”

The sadhu had forgotten to perform the ritual offering.
Even in times of extreme thirst and hunger, Swamishri remains focused and never forgets Thakorji. In such situations his devotion and faith for Thakorji remains supreme. He never accepts anything that has not been offered to Thakorji, be it a drop of water or a garland of flowers.
Swamishri’s devotion to Thakorji remains unflagging and exemplary.
