“Ring-ring! Ring-ring!”

Swamishri had just finished eating his breakfast. It was a phone call all the way from the USA. Who could it be? Swamishri picked up the phone. It was from one of the big devotees. Swamishri spoke to him for a while and then hung up. It hadn’t even been five minutes and:

“Ring-ring! Ring-ring!”

The telephone rang again! It was the same devotee! What could he want now? Well, this is what happened. When the devotee’s son found out that his dad had spoken to Swamishri he became jealous and started crying.
“I want to speak to Bapa!” he shouted stubbornly. So his dad got on the phone and called
Swamishri. When he explained to Swamishri what had happened, Swamishri said, “give the phone to him.”
Swamishri spoke to him and said, “How are you, fine? Make sure you offer devotion properly. Perform your puja and do mala. Make sure you stay vegetarian.”

Swamishri spoke to the balak as if they were both best friends. Does your best friend show this much care and concern? Just hearing Swamishri’s voice the balak was overjoyed. How lucky he was – a phone-call with Swamishri!
