God and Guru

Next to Jay was a little shishu named Mayur. Mayur went up to Jay and secretly whispered something into his ear. What do you think he said? Swamishri saw this and signalled to Mayur to tell him what he had just said.

Mayur replied, “There are two Gods. Thakorji and Swamibapa”.
Swamishri started laughing. He said, “There aren’t two, there’s only one God and we’re his servant. Understood?!” Swamishri continued, “There’s only one God and that’s Shriji Maharaj. We’re His servant, we should offer bhakti to Him.” Then in a joking manner Swamishri said, “if there were two Gods then they would argue!” Everyone started laughing.

In this unique way Swamishri explained the difference between God and the Guru to the young shishu. We should also understand the difference, and follow Swamishri’s words of offering bhakti to Maharaj. We can do that by doing our puja, performing the arti, going to the mandir etc. Then Swamishri will be really pleased.
