In 1990 Swamishri was in New York. A young balak named Markandey came to get blessings from Swamishri. Swamishri fulfilled his wish. Then Markandey innocently patted Swamishri on the back, as if he was giving blessings to Swamishri. P. Yogicharan Swami  saw this, and said in a light manner, “We can’t give blessings like that to Bapa. You should do dandvats. “ So the harmless Markandey performed dandvats. But Swamishri took his side and said, “It’s fine, you can give blessings like that.” So again Markandey patted Swamishri’s back on hearing his words.

P. Yogicharan Swami asked him, “Why did you give blessings?”
Markandey replied, “I haven’t given any blessings.”
As if he was a balak himself, Swami said, “this is all part of friendship, isn’t it?”

Swamishri’s age was 70. The balak was around 7. No age-gap is too big. In Swamishri’s eyes all balaks are his friends. He jokes and plays with them like you do with your friends.
