Always Behave as a Servant

Always Behave as a Servant

We should be authoritative in society; if someone challenges us we should answer him in an appropriate manner. If we cannot reply then we should step aside, but never allow yourself to be suppressed by anyone. Whereas in Satsang we should always behave as a servant. We should do samãgam of those people from whom we can learn, who will encourage us to become more firm in our niyams and follow our dharma.

However, people are not the same. So those people who we feel have nothing to offer us, we should simply bow to them and say ‘Jai Swãminãrãyan’, but don’t keep their company. But remember, in Satsang we are smaller than everyone else. So what if they take advantage of you? You should always remain a servant in Satsang. And be cautious, a person may praise us and look after all our needs, but if he discourages us from following our niyam-dharma, we should never do his samãgam.
