Devotion of an ideal disciple

This happened many years ago. Shastriji Maharaj came out of Vartal to propagate Akshar Purushottam worship.  For that he built mandirs. He had  with him a handful of sadhus and devotees who could be counted on one’s fingers. At about that time Pramukh Swami Maharaj took the parshad diksha. The work was on for building the mandir at Atladra. Several sadhus and devotees were engaged in working the lime kiln. It was the height of summer. But all of them treated it as God’s service and Guru’s orders. It was difficult to work because of the extreme heat. Slowly one by one they started leaving the spot because of the heat. Soon the place became empty, except for a young boy. He never bothered about the heat and went on working. That boy was none other than our Guru Hari Pramukh Swami Maharaj. His body started burning. His hands, feet, wrists all became red. The heat was unbearable. But his devotion to his Guru was such that he did not even utter a sigh.

When Guru Hari Shastriji Maharaj came to know of it, he called the youngster to his side. He began passing his hand over his body. The burning sensation subsided and the blisters on his body disappeared one by one except for a small one on his nose.  He showed ideal devotion for an ideal Guru.
