Swamibapa and Thakorji

Swamibapa and Thakorji

Our bodies cannot live without breathing air.  We would also die if our heart quit working.  Even flowers and plants need water and sunlight so they can grow.  Fish cannot be outside of water for more than a minute.  Some things in life are needed.  If we do not have it we cannot live.  In the same way, Swamibapa needs God in every second of His life.  He is really attached to Maharaj.

During the Edison CFI in 1991, the chief from the police department of Edison met with Swamibapa.  He saw that with Swamibapa there was Thakorji.  He wondered what this little statue was.  He asked Swamibapa that what is this that you carry with you.  Swamibapa readily and happily replied, “This is Thakorji.  He is our God, and we worship Him.”  The chief was amazed at the reply.   Bapa does not think of the statue as a statue, but God Himself.

In 1991 in Africa, Swamibapa went site seeing.  One of the sevak sants asked Swamibapa that you always think of Thakorji.  Swamibapa said, “This is Maharaj Himself.  We should always remember Him.”  On the other hand, we think of Thakorji as just a murti.  We too should think that it is Maharaj Himself.
