Words which are uttered in harmony with the great seers and scriptures are satya – truthful. Words which liberate oneself and others, and are profitable to others, are hitkari – beneficial. And words by which others experience bliss are priya – loving.

So, one should speak that which is truthful, beneficial and loving.

One who speaks untruth, loses mental strength. One who speaks untruth, has a very weak mind. He then never ceases to be a coward, both in body and mind.

Hence, truth is the foundation of life.
