According to our karmas we accept worldly bondage, but do not accept the bondage of God or that which guarantees liberation.
Practicing religion is not bondage, it is our duty. An animal is an animal because it has no duties. Man progresses because of his (religious) bondage. Without this, progress is not possible. Real growth is from within and is attained only through the bonds of dharma.
To a tree, the roots are bondage. But if there are no roots, the tree ceases to exist. Because of its roots, the tree is green, and has fruits and flowers.
The grandeur of a tree is due to this bondage. Similarly a man is adorned by the bondage of dharma and good conduct. |
