Once, while Swamishri was in Bochasan, Paramanandji and Adhyatmanandji, sannyasins of the Divyajivan Sangh, asked him a few questions about his constant communion with God.
“We had the fortune of your darshan last year in Kolkata during your birthday celebrations. Does that mean that you were ‘born’?”
Swamishri answered with confidence,
“From a worldly standpoint, yes. Spiritually, there is no birth or death.”
The sannyasins were surprised.
“There is no death?”
“No, I am Atma, Akshar, eternal and indestructible.”
“Akshar and Paramatma are two different entities?”
“Akshar serves Paramatma, yet they are inseparable. Paramatma lives within Atma.”
Dr Raymond Williams, of Wabash College in Indiana, USA, had asked Swamishri a simple question, “Who are you?”
To which Swamishri gave a simple answer, “I am Aksharbrahman.” |
