The Gunatit Sadhu, who constantly remembers God, also showers his love upon the devotees in a similar fashion by remembering them and the services they have rendered. Pramukh Swami Maharaj remembers, appreciates and rewards all devotees.
On 23 February 2006, while Swamishri was having lunch in Vidyanagar, the sadhus were introducing a few of the hostel students.
Mitesh stood up and was introduced as a native of Jesangpura. Swamishri immediately asked if he was from Narsinhbhai’s village. Mitesh nodded his head in agreement. So, the sadhus asked him to mention his father’s and grandfather’s name.
Swamishri immediately stopped them in mid-sentence, “I know his entire lineage.”
Swamishri asked him his name again and then rallied off the names of his family, “Your name is Mitesh. Your father is Ramesh. Ramesh’s father’s name was Narsinh and Narsinh’s father’s name was Narayanbhai. Right?”
Swamishri started talking about the seva they had done in Shastriji Maharaj’s time, “Narsinh had an older brother named Girdhar. They have been satsangis from the beginning. They had served Shastriji Maharaj. Where is Gunjan?”
Mitesh was surprised that Swamishri remembered his neighbour and replied, “He still lives next to us.”
Swamishri also recalled that Narsinhbhai was Devcharan Swami’s maternal uncle.
Oddly enough, the day before Sadhujivan Swami had complained to Swamishri, “I am having difficulty remembering things.”
Swamishri had also confessed, “I also have trouble remembering things.”
That obviously wasn’t the case when it came to remembering his devotees. |
