I do not expect anything in return

  • In Atladra, Janmangal Swami jokingly remarked, “So many people come to meet you. If you charge a fee then the rush will be less.” Swamishri said, “I do not wish well for just a few people. I wish well for all living beings. So I do not expect anything in return.”
  • In 1988, Swamishri was getting ready to depart from Pravinbhai Bhavsar’s house in Paris. Pleased with their devout service, Swamishri said to the devotees, “You have all served wholeheartedly. What else can I give you in return? I have God, so I will give him to you.”
  • Swamishri was seated in a meeting in Gondal. As the meeting continued, Swamishri continued to scribble a few important dates on a small notepad. Vishwavihari Swami noticed and asked Swamishri, “What are you writing in that private diary?”

Swamishri replied, “My whole life is open to the public. There are no secrets. If you have secrets, you always fear them being revealed. I live my life openly with God as my witness.”
Swamishri’s life is like an open book. Every moment is lived in someone’s presence. Eating, sleeping, reading, writing, during the day, and even at night, there is not a single moment when he is alone. There is no need for it either.
