“Shastriji Maharaj had a lot of will power. He would always accomplish what he had planned to. He never quit. There was a Sanskrit verse that he used to recite: ‘Many people quit before they even start, they are the lowest. Then there are those that quit after they face a few obstacles, they are mediocre. The best are those that never quit, come what may.’ Shastriji Maharaj faced many hurdles, but he never quit. Even when you are doing good for the society and country, some people will try to stop you or cause problems because they are jealous. They don’t want you to get the credit for it. Shastriji Maharaj had a lot of opposition. They would try to beat his sadhus and kick him out of villages. Shastriji Maharaj was patient, saying, ‘God is with us, so everything will turn out fine.’ Due to this faith, the mandir in Bochasan was possible.”
