“I will do as you say.”

“I will do as you say.”

On 9 December 1984, during Swamishri’s 74th birthday celebrations in Mahesana, Narayanmuni Swami approached Swamishri. As usual, Swamishri expressed his wish to meet all the devotees individually after the celebration assembly. Narayanmuni Swami had other thoughts in mind, “We have organized things differently this time. Instead of each devotee meeting you individually, four separate lines of devotees will come to receive your darshan at the same time. They will be able to do your darshan from close by and you will be able to see them as well.”

Swamishri tried to argue his point, but Narayanmuni Swami was very persistent. After a few minutes, Swamishri agreed, “It is best to listen to a sadhu. I will do as you say. God resides in all of you.”
Swamishri adjusted to the wish of the organizing sadhus.

Yogiji Maharaj used to say ‘Kat vadi javu’, meaning ‘One should instantly adjust to the current situation’. Swamishri is able to do that even at the ripe age of 87.
