Discard Laziness

Discard Laziness

Several teens and children had gathered in front of Swamishri. One stepped forward and promised, "I vow to wake up early every morning." Swamishri looked at him in surprise.

"What time do you get up," he asked.
"Ten!"

"Oh, so late? Never awake this late! It's good you have taken this vow."

"I wake up late only during vacation. During school, I'm up by six!"

"We may feel we have no other work to do and so wake up late. But this is wrong, we should always arise early, read Satsang literature, do household chores, clean up. Arrange your belongings neatly. We should wash our own clothes. By waking up late one becomes lazy."
