Grace of God and Guru

During the personal meetings, Dipak Zaveri of the "India Post" came for Swamishri's darshan. He asked several questions:

Q: "What is the secret of BAPS's success in such a short period?"
Swamishri: "Our Guru's grace. Yogiji Maharaj was our Guru. It was his wish, his blessings. The zeal and efforts of the sadhus and the volunteers has led to progress."

Q: "Don't you get tired of so much traveling?"
Swamishri: "It is God's work. 'I' am not the doer. Whatever we do, is due to the Guru's blessings. By God's inspiration, we do not feel tired. If we carry a pot of water on our head, it's a burden. But if we are submerged in water, there is no burden. Similarly, whatever happens is due to God's will. This is how we pray. Then, success or failure we leave to His wish. We strive to please Him."

Q: "This is the only organization I've seen in which there is no 'I'."
Swamishri: "Yes, nobody here believes that 'this was done by me.' It is done by God's grace. Therefore everyone gives the credit to everyone else, to God and the Guru."
