A few youths from America, travelling with Swamishri, asked Swamishri a few questions.
Hari (N.J.): You have been blessed by two great people (satpurush) - Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj. Which Satpurush are we blessed with?
Swamishri: The same. How can there be any other? Whether you say Shastriji Maharaj or Yogiji Maharaj, are they different? Shriji Maharaj resides in them. They are Gunatit. They look different but their atma (chaitanya) is one. The same qualities of Maharaj are in Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj. Though they look different, in essence, they are Maharaj. Since they have the qualities of God they are the forms of God.
Jayesh (Jersey): We have not seen Shriji Maharaj. We have not seen the form of Maharaj, so when we meditate on whom should we meditate?
Swamishri: Everyone is included by meditating on and remembering Yogiji Maharaj. Whichever form one attains and loves, in that form God resides fully. So by meditating and remembering him, Maharaj is not being relegated. God is one, and He resides in and works through all. By having affection for Yogiji Maharaj, is the same as having affection for Maharaj. So he enjoins us in that form (Maharaj).
Vrajesh (Chicago): Sometimes there is a feeling of void in doing devotion and service. How can we remain enthusiastic and fresh in faith?
Swamishri: Are you not enthusiastic about worldly things? After seeing a worldly thing once, you still see it ten more times. The joy in seeing it each time is the same. The same men play cricket. Is there anything new in it? But you find it new and exciting all the time. Even in food, though it is the same you find it interesting. You always experience joy in it. Similarly, you should have same feelings for God’s discourses. When you are inclined towards food you find it tasty! Likewise, you should find God to be joyful and new.
