Keep Good Company

16-11-1988. A young boy named Yogi was reciting talks from Swamini Vato - the discourses of Gunatitanand Swami. When he said, "Mota shahernu sevan tatha adhikar te adik jivane bagadvana hetu chhe," (Life in a large city and the power of authority can spoil the soul.) Swamishri looked up to him and said, "You live in a large, colorful city don't you? But if you come to the mandir and attend the Bal Sabha you will never get spoilt or turn bad. But if you keep the company of bad friends, who spoilt by the city life, you will also get spoilt. Do your personal puja everyday and be sincere in your studies."

This was a message, not only for Yogi but for every child. We must not be spoilt by bad influences in our environment and the bad company around us. We must do Satsang and obey the Shikshapatri and the wishes of our Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
