10-7-1996.
A teenager had asked for private time with Swamishri. He now sat quietly but uncomfortably before his guru. He remained silent, not saying a word. Swamishri realized his predicament and motioned that everyone else should move away. The teen had a secret only for Swamishri.
The air cleared, the youngster glanced around and began, "I went to France on a school trip... whilst there I broke several of your commands..." His voice broke. In typical compassion Swamishri would not let him continue denouncing himself. He comforted, "You have made a mistake. But then so do so many seniors. So don't worry. Be careful that this doesn't happen again. We have a mandir here. For five days do five rosaries and five prostrations..." Swamishri patted the teen in blessings. He was more than pleased with his young disciple. Yes, he had erred, but his obvious introspection and repentance were a sure sign of a maturing awareness.
