Swamishri’s Love and Care

Swamishri’s Love and Care

A student from South Gujarat, had joined Swamishri in his Saurashtra tour. He had a fever and was vomiting. He was worried about asking for help. At that point, Swamishri held his hand and asked him, “Do you have a fever?” Swamishri asked affectionately.

“Yes, Bapa!” he replied.

After Thakorji’sdarshan, Swamishri sat down to have breakfast. He gave the boy a cup of hot milk and said, “Here, drink this. You will be all right soon.” The boy hesitated. But he could not refuse Swamishri. He took the cup of milk and sat in a corner of the room. Swamishri called him back, “Not that far, sit near me and drink it.”

The boy hesitated again, but Swamishri insisted that he sit nearby and drink the cup of milk. “Now, take rest. Don’t go out anywhere,” Swamishri advised.

At 10:30 a.m., the same day, the boy was lying down with a splitting headache. Suddenly, he felt a cool hand touch his head. He opened his eyes and to his surprise found Swamishri softly massaging his head. He tried his best to say no to Swamishri. But Swamishri served him with motherly care and so tears rolled down his cheeks.
The next morning, when he got up for his bath, Swamishri said to him, “Don’t have your bath now. There’s only cold water in the bathroom. Take my hot water for your bath...”

Today, even after many years, when the boy remembers Swamishri’s love and care, his eyes turn moist with emotion.
